This class takes you through the process of learning to make a quilt. You will be introduced to types of fabrics and quality, choosing colors, cutting fabrics, piecing blocks, assembling your quilt, methods for top stitching your quilt and finishing up with how to bind your quilt. Many, many tips will be included in the instruction including how to sew 1/4" seams, how to make "points", how to match seams, cutting triangles, joining bindings, and much more.
You must have your own sewing machine to take this class, and have a good understanding of how it works. Students will take short breaks as well as bring their own lunch. There are four classes in total. On class days, students will receive a 15% off store discount to buy supplies needed for this class. A Starter Kit of various notions is available at 15% off* if paid for at class sign up, including a coupon for 20% off a rotary cutter of your choice. An iron and cutting board will be supplied at no additional cost. Payment is required when you sign up. Refunds are only available if your spot can easily be filled upon cancellation. In case of inclement weather, classes will be rescheduled.
You will need: Sewing Machine in good working order. You must know how to use your machine.
A 1/4" seam presser foot is advisable, but optional.

Having taken this class herself, Elsa can guide you through first hand experience to a wonderful first quilt experience. Elsa has been quilting since 2011 and her first quilt from this class won first place at the NEW Quilt Show in 2013.
