This class takes you through the process of learning to make a quilt. You will be introduced to types of fabrics and quality, choosing colors, cutting fabrics, piecing blocks, assembling your quilt, methods for top stitching your quilt and finishing up with how to bind your quilt. Many, many tips will be included in the instruction including how to sew 1/4" seams, how to make "points", how to match seams, cutting triangles, joining bindings, and much more. All four classes must be attended for success.
You must have your own sewing machine to take this class, and have a good understanding of how it works. Students will take short breaks as well as bring their own lunch. There are four classes in total. On class days, students will receive a 15% off store discount to buy supplies needed for this class*. An iron and cutting board will be supplied at no additional cost. Payment is required when you sign up. No refunds on tuition. In case of inclement weather, classes will be rescheduled.
You will need: Sewing Machine in good working order. You must know how to use your machine.
A 1/4" seam presser foot is advisable, but optional.
